I purchased a mobile phone through a website that had 100% excellent reviews on Trustpilot, Paypal offered as payment option. Payment made using Pay in 3....item arrived late, 30 days no quibble return policy so returned phone straight away. Received an email from seller confirming receipt of return and refund...but no Paypal email confirming refund made. 3 weeks later, still no Paypal refund, 2nd instalment of plan is due in less than a week. I have continually sent emails to seller, he is insisting that he's refunded through his website. I tried opening a case with Paypal but the category of case got changed to 'item not received'...seller than said that refund on his account had been on 'hold' and that if I closed the case I would 'probably' get the refund quicker. Stupidly I closed the case, left it another few days...of course no refund notification email has been received from Paypal.
Tried sending messages through the help channel, got told as I had closed the case (even though it was the wrong category) it couldn't be reopened and all I can do now is take the seller to small claims court!
Any idea of how I can get this refund through Paypal now?
