This is more a rant than a question, but I'd really like to know that I'm not alone in thinking that PayPal has lost track of the user experience. Like many, if not most, users, I have multiple cards. I use different cards for different purposes: personal purchases (card that belongs only to me), family purchases (joint card with my wife), business purchases (card that belongs to my business), and foreign currency purchases (to avoid the heinous exchange rate differential). My foreign currency card was recently compromised, and when I got a replacement, I forgot to update my wallet. So, earlier this week, I made a foreign currency purchase of a recurring transaction, selected my foreign currency credit card for it, and was completely surprised to find that the charge instead went through on my default card. When I spoke to PayPal support, they told me that the foreign currency card was declined and, to ensure that the transaction went through, they fall back to the default card automatically. No message on screen to tell me that my original selection was declined. No opportunity to correct my error. Just a "helpful" fallback to a card I did not want to use. Please reassure me that I'm not alone in thinking that this is a completely moronic feature.
