I have an old Paypal account which is registered using a telephone number that is now defunct. I received two emails this morning relating to two transactions on the account which have not been authorised by me. I am unable to log in to the account, and the telephone number I used at the time is out of service. The two telephones I have access to use now are already associated with other PayPal accounts (mine and a family member). I now have a situation where an old Paypal account has been hacked, being charged and I can't access it to close it down. What do I do? And can someone also tell me why getting help through Paypal is so ridiculously difficult? A really poor customer experience.
