I want to link my US bank, but can't link it

I want to link my American account to PayPal but when I go to Link a bank account, it wants a sort code and not a routing code. I was in the UK for a while so I set my account in the UK (now I'm in the US). I wanted to close my account so I can make a new one and make it based on the US but of course, PayPal won't let anyone close their account for god knows what reason. My problem is the same as in the title. I linked my paypal to payhip but the next day payhip gave me that problem "According to PayPal, your account isn't able to receive payments." When i log into my paypal there seems nothing wrong.  ... View more
