Years ago I created this PayPal account and made literally one purchase. Recently, I got on because I was going to make another purchase but my account has limitations set on it. I went to looking through everything only to discover my account had obviously been hacked. (I had weird names, numbers, addresses, and card/bank information from both the east and west coast.) I get in touch with PayPal and they tell me to send in all the required information. I do so. (DL, utilities bill, and copy of bank statement.) Today I get an email that informs me that they are done with their review of my account and I'm permanently unable to use my account. My actual credit card/bank account will not be able to be used on any other account, and absolutely none of the information attached to my PayPal account will be removed. All restrictions will stay in place. It also stated that I had violated PayPal policy. Has anyone else had this happen to them? Can anyone tell me if (and how) I can fix this? I don't use PayPal often but some companies do not accept credit cards online and accept PayPal, so I really need this fixed. Thank you in advance.
