I'm trying to use the "Donation" hosted button that's created through the button wizard, which ends up with a nice interface. But, I'd like to send a suggested amount to the interface (it might change programmatically, so I don't want to hardwire the amount in the interface itself.) I figured I'd just pass in a hidden "amount" field, which the documentation says works with the donation button. But it doesn't honor the amount, no matter how I try it. I could try going some of the more complicated routes if I have to, but was hoping I could get this to work. Here's my code, where I tried two different ways of entering an amount. <form action="https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr" method="post" target="_top"> <input type="hidden" name="hosted_button_id" value="*******" /> <input type="hidden" name="cmd" value="_s-xclick"> <input type="hidden" name="amount" value="50"> <table> <tr><td><input type="hidden" name="on3" value="Amount">Amount</td></tr> <tr><td><input type="text" name="os3" maxlength="200" value="50"></td></tr> </table> <input type="hidden" name="encrypted" value="***"> <input type="image" src="***.png" border="0" name="submit" alt="PayPal - The safer, easier way to pay online!"> <img alt="" border="0" src="https://www.paypalobjects.com/en_US/i/scr/pixel.gif" width="1" height="1"> </form> Thanks for any advice!
