Hi all I am a victim of a facebook scam. portable workstations selling at £19.99 (buy one get one free) i bought 2 items, (plus to for free - 4 items total) i recieved just 2 items and nothing like the items advertised. i recieved 2 cheap plastic "things" when i purchased items from the advert which looked totally different. i found evidence of the same scam and many victims. i sent this to paypal and expected to be covered under buyer protection (as i was victim to not recieving the number of items i ordered and also not as described) i logged a crime number with action fruad - online fraud division of the uk police and shared this information with paypal. i have also seen the exact same advert under multiple company names on facebook (seems the company changes names every couple of weeks) paypal have now come back to me finally after weeks to say that they have decided in favour of the seller !!!!!!!! and the reason? - because the buyer protection only covers not recieving items and receiving items not as described. IM A VICTIM ON BOTH COUNTS i cant see how to reopen the case, or any contact details which arent online forms (which will not allow me to progress as the dispute is closed by paypal) I cant understand the decision by paypal. it beggers belief. i am not going to drop this as its almost £40 stolen from me and I AM COVERED under paypals buyer protection can anyone help me? please?
