I have encountered this issue for months. The card is added to my wallet, set as preferred payment option. I've contacted American express who see no issue and confirm the address is correct. I attempt to make a purchase and get the safekey prompt and authenticate. Then I get back to the payment page with the error Sorry, your bank wasn't able to verify your <removed> x-XXXX at this time. Please try again or choose another way to pay. Paypal support keep ignoring the problem and asking me to check the details. Do they no longer support Amex? If so a straight answer would be better than this constant back and forth between them and Amex. Also this form is ridiculous. If I can't use more than 100 characters in the subject line then validate this before I hit Submit. If I can only use the labels you specify then why give me a text field to add my own?
