Hi - I've just been trying to get a refund for a item bought from a VanGo advertisement that turned out not to be as described in their Facebook ad. First they offered me a 10% refund for the item and I turned it down. Then they offered me a $15 refund which I also turned down saying I wanted a full refund. They countered with an offer of a full refund if I returned the item via a tracked courier. It appears that PayPal has decided that's fair because they've offered me no comeback. Either provide the tracking info or close the case. To me that means that PayPal has reneged on what I understood was it's refund policy because it's giving me no further opportunity to respond. If I did have that opportunity I'd be happy to forget the full refund if PayPal agreed to stop backing what any Google search would confirm is a company known for its scams and dishonest practices. Now I'm wondering if PayPal continues to support these crooks because of the commissions they generate from all those victims who don't bother to make a claim. In any event, I'm now looking for alternatives to using PayPal due to the fact that my experience makes me question their integrity and commitment to protecting buyers from unscrupulous and dishonest vendors responsible for multiple complaints.
