I make a large payment for rent each month with my credit card to get cash back for the PayPal MasterCard Credit Card. EVERY month, it holds for WAY too long leaving me unable to use much of the card due to the $1500 limit. Why do they do this? So we don't dispute it? Look, I've been paying the same amount for at least 3 months now, but they're still holding it. My other credit cards to not do this AFAIK. I have to call customer service to release my available balance so it's correct every time, so I can use my card... Is this just another way of preventing us from earning more cash back or is it because of a "large purchase"? Example: Say I have a $1500 available balance, I pay $1200 for rent. I pay OFF that amount immediately, but then my available balance only shows $300 for like 15-20 days or until I call them even though I paid the $1200 off. This is s t u p i d.
