I bought an expensive item from eBay. The seller would only accept PayPal and no credit card payment option. The seller knows you have a recourse with credit card payment. The seller provided me with a tracking number. I didn’t get my item. Called UPS. The UPS agent told me it was delivered to some random address in my city. The agent told me I got scammed and it is a common one when shopping on eBay and PayPal payment option. The seller sent a piece of “brick” to some random address in your city to show completion of delivery. Called PayPal. PayPal would not help because item was shown to be delivered to an address in your city by UPS. This is the loophole exploited by the fake seller. eBay can’t help because the seller has disappeared. You can Google “fake ups address” and you will see that this is a rampant scam involving PayPal and EBay seller and nobody seems to be able to help. Please be aware of this scam. This is a difficult problem for PayPal to solve and it is a rampant scam.
