Hi Renuka, Doesn't work at all, at least here in Canada. PayPal won't allow someone without cell service/device to login - PERIOD. PayPal won't allow 2-Step Verification with a landline or email even when registered with the user. PayPal won't activate landline voice generated verification numbers or email generated verification numbers to registered users with account holders registered landlines or emails. These methods are used by many, if not most, banking institutions AND PayPal uses email version for 'Forgot Password' so it is within your capabilities - do NOTE however without making changes when you do use it PayPal immediately puts you into the DEATH LOOP: let's you change your password then immediately keeps you from entering as you don't have mobile service/device. Won't even let you enter the Resolution Centre. With that at least a proper resolution step could be started with an email contact for responses. Tries to force me to login which is the issue as it won't let me login. After contacting Customer Service directly they managed to log me in under their 'Overwatch' BUT: Told me to always leave my computer and browser on and problem would go away. Totally unsafe but JUST TO CONFIRM IT DOES NOT WORK within about half an hour PayPal auto-logged me out {inactivity?} and wouldn't let me log back in. Just put me into the DEATH LOOP login which won't work without cellular. NOTE that any update, power/internet outage - or many other things - will do the same thing. Told me to use an 'Authenticator App' even after I told him their system showed it is a MOBILE APP only and mobile apps won't work without mobile service. Kept suggesting a mobile was the best alternative - and does nothing for living in an area WITHOUT CELLULAR service like I do. Told me this is a 'NEW' issue - It has been going on for about a year. You need to: *FIX 2-STEP VERIFICATION for those of us outside cell service areas and/or do not have a mobile phone. *FIX LOGIN issues using either email or landline for 2-STEP VERIFICATION. Even the much maligned Canada Revenue Agency {taxes} can manage this. * REMOVE ONLY AUTOMATIC MOBILE PHONE ENTRY STEP at login which locks account owners out of entry. An option is needed. *FIX LOGIN issues for phones[landlines] which DO NOT HAVE texting capabilities. *FIX ISSUES where a person CAN'T check their accounts, incorrect charges, balances, hacking or thievery BECAUSE PAYPAL WON'T FIX LOGIN ISSUES. *FIX 2-STEP VERIFICATION ISSUES where a person without cellular access CAN'T even find HOW to access their account. *OFFER METHODS which allow login without a mobile device @Login so account holder can access THEIR account. *ALLOW CONTACT WITH PAYPAL without LOGIN. As of now this can't be done as every attempt FORCES login - and BRILLIANTLY PayPal won't let you login. THE DEATH LOOP. Regards, Len
