4/10/21 - Ditto! Same Issue. I called the merchant and they said that they had no record of my Pay in 4 transaction or of me making any purchase from them because PayPal never directed this transaction back to the merchant's website to complete order during checkout! PayPal just placed a temp hold of the 1st payment on my bank account's debit card? I then called PayPal (after waiting on the phone for almost an hour to speak with one of their reps) and was told that their Pay in 4 payment system was having "system errors" and that I should wait for this transaction to drop off my bank card in a week?? Obviously this has been happening for some time since this had also happened to the original poster back in March. I just don't get it, a large company handling thousands of transactions daily yet they can't seem to figure out how to set up their payment processing system as to not inconvenience their members repeatedly?! They just don't get it or really care it would seem, that this why many have a hard time trusting their money with them. Great business model?
