There are 2 different password standards at Paypal. One for new users registrations and different standard for password changes. As a new user, I get to choose whatever password I can have. That is include additional special characters such as "-". Even if I register today, my password CAN include " - ". However, once I go to change the password, I can't choose any password that contains these special characters and " - " is exluded. The password can only include letters, numbers and these characters: !@#$%^&*(). I find it restrictive if I can't use any special character. If Paypal cares for security at least at the very minimum required by law, than shouldn't put restrictions on passwords. Also, the existence of the 2 standards makes me wonder where else are things discombobulated at Paypal? Does Paypal have QC department? Is anybody checking things on regular basis, or do the users need to find the bugs and report to Paypal? If that's the case, Paypal should provide the services at no charge to its users. Thanks.
