Dear Members in PayPal Community, I am a freelance linguist, and provide on-demand editing, translation, and review services on various language platforms. Although my preferred mode of receiving payments is through bank transfer, some platforms do not support it. In order to facilitate transfer of my earnings from these platforms, I opened a PayPal account recently. The unfortunate incident for which I am reaching out, pertains to my very first transaction on PayPal on the evening of 13th March 2021: I made a request on the "Stepes" (a translation, and review) platform to transfer my wallet money to my recently opened PayPal account. Stepes approved it, and made the payout the same day. I received a confirmation email from PayPal for the aforementioned transaction sometime after midnight, around 2 AM (14th March 2021). Among other information in the email, was an option "Claim Your Money". When I clicked the button, I was taken to an interface which appeared like a PayPal technical error page with a large orange exclamation mark and a message right below it which read: "We are sorry, but that transaction no longer exists. If you think this is an error, please reach out to the sender of the money. If you continue to encounter problems, please contact Customer Support." Ever since, I have been diligently pursuing the sender establishment (Stepes). They have been gracefully confirming the payout from their side repeatedly, and asking that I pursue this with PayPal. I have been trying to get in touch with the support team at PayPal, but to no avail! I will be most grateful to all of you who can guide me or give some heads-up on how I should go about this to retrieve my hard-earned money. Many thanks in advance. Regards, I.P. Srinivasan
