Background: I'm a legal business (limited liability company) operating from Virginia, USA. I've been an eBay seller since December. I make good money. I have a PayPal Business account. Issue: My account was limited and PayPal asked for (1) Proof of Business and (2) Proof of Address. I provided everything. I provided (1) Bank Statements, (2) Certificate of Formation, (3) Sales Tax Certificate, (4) IRS EIN forms, and (5) my driver's license. Everything is under my name, since I'm the owner of the business. My documents were accepted. Further Issue: However, PayPal is now asking for (1) Government ID and (2) Proof of Address for a secondary user in my account. What's the catch? This secondary user doesn't even exist. A few days ago, I added my virtual assistant as a secondary user, but I literally removed him one minute later after deciding that I didn't need his help. He never accessed my account. To make matters worse, PayPal is requesting that I provide documents to show that this secondary user lives at my business address. That doesn't make any sense. Why would my virtual assistant (or any business employee) live at my business address? How am I supposed to ask for sensitive personal information from someone that has no affiliation with my PayPal account? I'm the legal owner of the business. Everything is under my name. I've been a loyal PayPal customer for years. I run my entire business through PayPal. This has shut down my entire business. Please help me.
