I have had PayPal credit since it was introduced, and I have mainly used it to make purchases using the 4 month 0% interest free offer, and I have always paid the amounts before the end of the fourth month. Recently I made a relatively bigger purchase (£955) using a 24 month 12.9% offer, having to pay £45.05 back every month. a few month ago I made a purchase of £315 and unfortunately I forgot to pay it on time and I paid it a day late. To my surprise the transaction disappeared from my promotional transactions but the £315 went towards the £955 becoming £613.78, but the interesting things is that my overall credit limit is correct, meaning the £315 transaction is still counted towards my limit but no where to be found in my PayPal Credit summary. I have received my PayPal Credit statement today and to my surprise, the £315 purchase was categorised under Summary of Balances - Retail Purchases. And I am paying monthly interest on it. The annoying thing is that PayPal is using some stupid algorithm that started paying off my larger purchase , but this is bad for me as this way I will keep paying interest on both purchases until I finish them both. Why can't I specify which purchase I want to repay first. Now I am definitely having to pay more money in interest because some stupid algorithm chose to pay back my purchases this way.
