I have recently been a victim of fraud and I still remain in debt of £80. When the unauthorised transaction was made, my bank account was charged with £80, leaving me with a negative £80 balance in my bank account, then I contacted paypal to get my money back, and they refunded the £80 leaving me now with £0 in the bank. Then they left me with a negative -£80 in the paypal balance. And presently, the agents continue to claim that Paypal has taken out £80 out of my bank to settle the negative balance on paypal. Which now leaves me still with a negative balance of -£80 in my bank. So therefore I have not been refunded. The customer service agent was not very helpful at all and as a result I am left with no other option but to write an email. Here is a transcript of my conversation as of 13/1/21 18:51 GMT: The negative balance has been settled and your PayPal balance is now back to zero. To settle the negative balance the £80 was taken out of your bank account ending in <removed>. 3:41 PM - Hannah Esther The reason that your account went a negative balance is because when the payment was sent out to the seller PayPal fronted the money for you and we waited for the funds to be sent to us from your bank. As I can see on your account the payment from your bank did not go through.
Thank you for contacting PayPal and for being a valued customer. If you have no further questions, you may close the conversation by selecting End Message or by clicking the "X." Again when the transaction was made on December 29 PayPal fronted the money but you were not charge off of your bank account. You opened a unauthorized transaction and you won the case, you were refunded the £80 it went to your bank account even though you were not charge successfully off of your bank account when the payment was made on December 29. This resulted to the negative balance and that is why you were charge £80 on January 4 to settle this negative balance. 4:54 PM - Hannah Esther Again, when the payment was made on December 29, 2020 you were not charge off of your bank account even though the payment went through. You opened an unauthorized transaction and you were refunded and the funds went back to your bank account. That means you were refunded eventhough you weren't charged successfully. That resulted to your negative balance on the PayPal account.
This has already been resolved and no further steps can be taken. Thank you for contacting PayPal and for being a valued customer. If you have no further questions, you may close the conversation by selecting End Message or by clicking the "X." If you respond to this message, a member of our team will follow up with you. 5:49 PM - Hannah Esther It actually states on your transactions that it was a failed transfer on January 4, 2021. That means we were unable to get the funds out of your bank account when this transaction was made. 6:14 PM - Hannah Esther When the payment was made you were not charge. You can actually contact your bank and verify this transaction.

From this conversation, I can imply that the agent believes that I have an extra £80 that i need to pay back to paypal to satiate the negative balance. Which I do not. And the agent has claimed that I have "not been charged" through my bank. Which I actually have been charged. i have attached a PDF file showing proof that a paypal payment has gone through from my bank account from the unauthorised transaction which was made in December, and taken out of my bank in January. Please help me find a solution, thank you for your help. I cannot attach the PDF file on this platform, If a paypal agent requests this I am happy to show evidence*
