Hello, A client sent me money this morning by accident. I did not send them an invoice. There was not a recent job or service we had done. They simply entered my email address on a payment by mistake. I caught it immediately and clicked the button for the refund. Now I'm learning that Paypal will draw the refund from my bank account while I am forced to transfer the money out of my Paypal Account back to my bank minus the transaction fee. I lodged a complaint with customer service and their response was to create a voucher for the difference to be applied on my next purchase. However, I don't make purchases through my Paypal Account. I understand that games can be played with refunds/purchases to avoid fees, but in this case, another party made a mistake and I'm the one left with an unfavorable situation to resolve (ie their 'refund' comes out of my bank account while Paypal holds the difference as a voucher thus tying up my money). There was no transaction. I made not mistake. How can this be resolved with a full voiding of the 'transaction' and the fee as if it never happened? What can I say in response to Customer Service to get them to understand the situation?
