I sent my teenage nephew who just created a PayPal account a $50 bday gift. I tested to make sure the PP account was set up by testing $1 first. My nephew saw the $1 test deposit saw I followed up with the $50 bday gift. Fast forward a month and a half later, His dad (my brother) told me there is NO bank account associated with my nephew’s account and to get my money back. I opened a case with PayPal and they said: “ Based on our review, we found this transaction is consistent with your PayPal payment history.” and there is no way to get a refund. My brother refuses to connect a bank account or credit card to the PayPal Account and will most likely close his son’s account. What do I do next to try to get my $50 back or have I lost out on $50?
