This is my first entry to this community forum so please excuse me me for not starting a new thread as I'm not clear on how to do that. I've read all THIRTEEN PAGES of the complaints about Shenzhen Lijuan Trading Company and am a victim of the same kind of FRAUD for another defective/ not-as-advertised product that I don't see mentioned here yet. THIS thread seems to be the most applicable place to make this entry... As an retired engineer and a new member of FACEBOOK, I saw a video from this vendor that appeared in my timeline as a demonstration and advertisement for a "LASER TORCH". The video depicted the handheld battery-operated laser as being able to cut through a number of thin materials. Very impressive (although in retrospect, it was possibly / likely a hoax). I can no longer find the video on-line and suspect it was subsequently removed. I ordered the item to see if it was potentially as useful as it appeared. After weeks of waiting and only receiving a BOGUS tracking number, I replied to SHENZHEN several times via their ONLY source of contact (email) without viable results before filing a complaint with PayPal regarding it NOT being received. While that complaint was open, I finally received "something" that looked much like an overgrown LASER POINTER or a double-A flashlight stuffed in a box with not one piece of directions/ information, receipt, etc. It had no power source-- just an empty compartment that was intended for a battery of no size commonly known. (Thicker than an "AA", thinner than a "C", too short for two "AA"s but too long than for just one.) I emailed SHENZHEN to ask for what model number of battery I should be buying while also measuring the size and searching the internet for a match. I got no reply whatsoever from the company and could find nothing that seemed to fit. I decided to test the unit on the lab bench with a variable voltage supply beginning at 1.5 volts and slowly increasing to determine the results. At around 3 volts, it generated blue laser light and to my surprise, the attached, **bleep**-on lens was a "dispersal pattern" that splits the beam into dozens of dots in a pattern much like commercial laser displays for Christmas decorating except this was a steady, non-moving display. This "thing" was NOT a "Laser Torch"-- it was intended as some sort of display pattern (or something). Since SHENZHEN neither provided nor identified the odd-sized battery nor expected most non-engineering folks to try to make the thing work, I'm guessing they hoped the real function would never become known and hoped the buyer would give-up when they couldn't find a battery of the right size and voltage to work! The "Laser Torch" was a FRAUD!! Thankfully, PayPal worked with me along the way. Through PayPal, SHENZHEN offered me HALF of my money back and I declined the offer. I either wanted something that functioned as advertised or I wanted to return this hoax for a full refund. Eventually, PayPal gave me a full refund. Additionally, I noted that, according to the return address on the package, SHENZHEN has supposedly shipped to a distributor in INDIANA who had re-shipped locally to me. When I searched the internet (Google maps, Map Quest, etc.) for the address, IT WAS BOGUS AND DIDN'T EXIST! When I look at the long history of complaints regarding Shenzhen Lijuan Trading Company both in this forum AND with the Better Business Bureau (1-star, lowest rating and NOT a member) I have to wonder why PayPal still keeps them as a customer. READ the entries. Shenzhen Lijuan Trading Company is NOT a source that anyone should do business with!
