If I'm a seller and I receive payment through PayPal for a transaction that I made with a vendor, the payment is on hold for 21 days if the buyer has protection. I just got off the phone with PayPal and received this little bit of information. If you ship an item to a buyer and the address you shipped it to does not match the address the vendor has on file at PayPal, your funds won't be released for 21 days, period. AND, the buyer could claim the item was not received at which point you, the seller, would be out of luck. PayPal has royally messed up this protection initiative. For one, it's quite common for vendors to have freight forwarders, so you absolutely may send something to an address that doesn't match what the vendor has on PayPal. Can someone from PayPal explain this oversight and any planned changes to it? Thank you.
