Dear PayPal Community, I sold on eBay for the first time a few weeks ago. Long story short, the buyer didn't like the item (it was a Synology NAS and too complicated to use) so I took it back for a full refund. It's not a dispute, I'm happy to give this guy his money back. But he took several days to complain about the item, so in the meantime I had transferred the $717 out of my PayPal account into my bank account. Now I'm trying to give the eBay buyer a refund, but my PayPal account is showing a negative balance because the eBay return process put a hold on the initial inflow. When I click on the "Add Money" button on the "Wallet" page of the PayPal website, I just get a boilerplate message telling me that if I already added money from my bank, to please wait, and if it's a dispute, wait for the dispute to resolve. I can't navigate to any page where I just manually transfer money back from my bank to my PayPal account. In the meantime, eBay keeps hounding me to give this guy a refund, which I'm trying to do. The whole thing is circular. I can't resolve the hold (not a dispute!) without clearing my negative balance and and I can't clear my negative balance without clearing the held transaction. I've now wasted many hours on this and it's turned into the most unpleasant online transaction of my life. Any advice on how to manually transfer funds into my PayPal account would be much appreciated. Thanks, Michael
