PayPal has finally responded to my messages in the chat window after a couple of days. They explained to me that I can cancel the subscription off a customer in the following way: Here's how to cancel your customer's recurring payment profile: Log in to your PayPal account. Click Profile near the top right corner of the page. Click Account Settings. Click Website Payments. Click Update beside "My automatic payments". Click Active under "Overview" to display all active payments. Select the check box beside the name(s) of the customer(s) whose profile(s) you want to cancel. Click Cancel and click Yes to confirm. Note: A canceled profile can't be re-activated. It doesn't give me my money obviously but the only other chance would be to let the amount accumulate until it's enough to hand it over to a debt collecting agency. I have rather decided to cancel the subscription myself and let me money go. Unfortunately it seems PayPal doesn't care at all about their customer not paying, so no action against the non-paying customer is taken. It's all about their consumer customer and PayPal doesn't care much about their business customer, as is evident in their support. Hope this answer helps someone else in a similar situation.
