Hi Paypal community, I've been scammed into buying a product that doesn't seem to exist. I received a cheap plastic piece of junk instead of the item I ordered. I first contacted the seller and they said "sorry it was a mix up, you can return item (to China) at your expense with tracking etc which will be very expensive OR you can keep the item and we'll give you a 40% refund! This piece of junk is worth $5 maximum so I was not happy at all. I Went to resolution centre and they decided that I could return theism for a full refund. I said I was not happy with that resolution as it will cost me too much to return and offered the "scammers" to keep $5 for the cheap plastic piece of junk they sent me. They refused this (obviously) and PayPal resolution said I have to send back item with tracking to China which will cost me alot from New Zealand where I live. 1. Why should I have to pay for their "mistake?' 2. This is clearly a scam and my money should be returned immediately 3. This is a waste of my time and energy and I even offered to give these scum scammers $5 to **bleep** off. That's still too generous but I feel PayPal could at least have my back on this one because at the moment I'm set to loose a lot more money than that if I have to send this junk back to China to receive my refund. I can no longer respond or refute the issue and I can't seem to get a human on the message centre. I'm appalled that PayPal seems to be siding with scammers and allowing these scams to continue instead of acting ethically by shutting them down and returning customers money. Has anyone else experienced this and do you know what I should do now? Thank you.
