I have received support messages in my A/C telling me to install a Symantec Product providing VIP access and providing links etc for me to do so. The message looks to be 101% dodgy and none of the images that supposedly show me exactly what to do actually display. Be it genuine or otherwise it looks EXACTLY like any typical spam, phishing or malware scam usually does !!!! I have also received numerous phone calls now allegedly from Paypal on the UK number <removed> rather than text messages as advised on-screen that had allegedly been sent. Mr.Google will quickly confirm that this number is a fairly well known source of scams, harrassment and/or other highly dubious activity various. Every time I attempt to access Paypal whilst trying to resolve this stupid mobile/PSD2 nonsense, I now get a whole load of these dodgy sounding automated calls. Some silent, some with a message, some with a code, some advising of additional charges, blah, blah, blah. Each call is subtely different. Typical message: "This is a message from <removed>" "Enter the code [a 6 digit number - something thousand, something hundred and something) on the Paypal website" "other stuff including mention of being charged" Just WTF are Paypal playing at here ?
