I sold some stuff on ebay and got the money via paypal. I only used my paypal account for transferring to friends/family so my account became limited as a result of the sudden influx of funds, which I guess paypal thought was dodgy. Problem is I had used a nickname on my paypal account (made the account years ago and didn't realise it was a problem), so when I sent my ID for verification purposes, my account immediately became restricted as the names didn't match. I can't get through to anyone on the phone to explain the situation and the message centre has also been useless by taking me around in circles and never getting me closer to withdrawing my funds into my bank account so I can be done with paypal for good. It's been a few months now, not yet the 180 days which I apparently need to wait in order for the funds to be released. Would appreciate any help from UK paypal users who can advise on how to get my money (over £500) out of my paypal account asap. I don't know what will happen once the 180 days are up and if it can be helped, I'd rather not wait any longer to find out. I've heard of people that have managed to get their money before the 180 days but I have no idea who/how they managed to get in touch with paypal as paypal seem to be intentionally avoidant, especially with covid as a perfect excuse to not speak to a real human. Is there any alternative means of getting in direct touch with someone from Paypal? A higher authority? Any alternative contact info to speak to an actual person? Any help/advice at all? I've tried the message centre, and paypal's uk numbers to no avail. Please help, thank you!!!
