My wife was trying to set up a new PP account, but when she began the process, it said that her email was already in use with an account. So, she assumed she set one up years ago and forgot about it and went to reset her password, but when trying to do that she gets a message that says "Sorry, something went wrong on our end. Please try again." She thought that might mean the site had some problems, but she got that message for more than a day and knew it couldn't be a site issue. However, it makes no sense that she can't get some kind of password reset email to her email address. Anyway, she then tried to get help via chat. When she provides the 3 things the chat folks ask for - name, email address and last 4 digits of the bank acct, they tell her that her email address is associated with someone other than her, i.e., a different name. That info has us both really, really concerned, but here is the kicker, the chat folks won't help her because she can't tell them whose name is associated with her email address. They won't offer any help on how to proceed either. She then tried calling the help line, but all it tells her is that there is no telephone help available at this time. It makes no sense that she can't reset her password someway, unless PP somehow thinks her email address has been hacked, but how would they know that? Anyway, any ideas on how to proceed?
