They did something similar with mine, never credited a $2000 returned item and they just kept insisting they were following the IRS guidelines. I wasted hours with them and there horrible customer service. My advice, cancel your PayPal account and go with Apple Pay!

They refuse to change it and claim the IRS instructions are to tally all gross sales even if an item was returned and refunded! It makes zero sense! I called them, sent them emails and requested that a supervisor call me. They never checked my 1099 or explained why it totaled a $4000 number that was totally incorrect. I got nothing other other than the same old story that it was computed according to the IRS requirements which cannot be correct. I’m done with PayPal and Ebay and I will sign up for Apple Pay since the the service here is non existent ❗️

They incorrectly computed my 1099 since they included a $1900 item that I sold and it was returned to me by the buyer. I’ve clearly explained this to PayPal both via phone calls and messaging and I am getting Zero response from them! Time to close my account and move on to Apple Pay since PayPal has zero customer service, they are pathetic!

PayPal has grossly incorrectly computed my 1099 and I have been waiting weeks for them to correct it after I had to prove to them their errors. Why would anyone tolerate their horrible service especially since Apple Pay is now available.

I’ve finally spoke to a live person who was totally useless! They couldn’t speak English and had no clue whatsoever, she was zero help. Thinking about dumping PayPal since they are actually costing me money with their incompetence since they more than doubled what should be reported on my 1099.

PayPal has grossly messed up my 1099 and after two phone conversations with a person who couldn’t speak English and was clueless, I wasted hours trying to explain how they messed up my 1099.
Ive sent emails and to explain the situation and I don’t even get a response.
Time to dump PayPal and use Apple Pay or another service!

My 1099 is totally incorrect and I’ve spent hours trying to get it corrected! The error is do to a $1911 item that was returned to me and apparently PayPal listed it twice on the 1099 as income to me!
After bringing it to their attention, the response from PP was to speak to my accountant? What nonsense is that, telling me to spend more money due to their blatant error! Why use a company with an attitude like this, it’s horrible!

I also have a problem with my 1099 that PayPal has come up with and although I’ve notified them several times, I’m still not nowhere with this and it’s still not correct. The customer support is horrible and I’ve spent over an hour on the phone with a person who could barely speak English and was totally clueless! This is very upsetting and I will not continue to use their service unless they can resolve my issue with the correct information!
