Have I forfeited the 180 days of Payment Protection? I did not receive the product ordered and payed for, and opened a dispute. The Seller contacted me and told me a good story, it is Covid world and it was clear he was overseas. Anyway, PayPal sent me an email saying the dispute would be closed if not converted to a claim in 20 days. Just to be clear, there is nothing in that email or in the text about Payment Protection that I see that says if you open a dispute and don’t convert to a claim you forfeit the remainder of your 180 days… Anyway, I didn’t covert the dispute to a claim, and now that it has become clear I was just being strung along, I wanted to proceed to make a claim. However, you have to first make a dispute, and the site will not allow another dispute to be opened, it just says ‘this purchase is not eligible for payment protection’. After hours on the phone, all I got was an agent that re-iterated they sent me an email saying I had 20 days to covert the dispute to a claim, and offering no other support. Anyone know of any resolution that doesn’t mean I’ve forfeited payment protection?
