Hi! I am facing an odd issue with my paypal account. Every time when accessing the "Summary" page of my account, there is a notification that says "The way you access your account is changing. Please check your phone number to keep using your account without interruption." right below the main header. There is a button labelled "Confirm your Phone Number" on the very right edge of the message, however when clicking the button, it will only redirect me to my paypal account's settings page. There I able to confirm that my primary phone number is set up correctly, yet not option to "confirm" my phone number is given, at least not in the main settings page. Although clicking the "See all phone numbers (1)" link brings me to an overview of "all phone numbers". Since i only possess one phone number, there is only one number being displayed on this page, which is expected and correct. Also worth mentioning is that my one and only phone number is set to "primary", which is also correct.. Now, ultimately as for my problem: There is NO option, neither on the main settings page nor on this "all phone numbers" page to "confirm" my current phone number! Therefore, the "The way you access your account is changing.... Please check your phone number to keep using your account..." message persists indefinitely. Adding a new phone number identical to my first (primary) and only phone number, will just result in the second phone number not getting added at all. I have discovered this forum post, claiming that turning off 2FA fixes the issue. However, there are two things wrong with that: 1) Why should I make my account LESS secure in order to confirm my phone number, thus making it more secure. 2) 2FA was never even turned on on my account. I turned it on, linked google authenticator, then turned it off again to see if that would help, but the message still persists. At this point I am at a loss and asking for your help/advice. Generally I would be okay with just ignoring the message indefinitely, but I fear eventually getting locked out of my account for some bs reason like my phone number having not been "verified enough". At this point i would also like to mention that my phone number has always worked flawlessly. I am receiving notifications via SMS all the time when sending/receiving money. Thanks for reading this rather long post and thanks in advance for any suggestions.
