I have 4 credit cards registered in my Paypal account (A, B, C, D). Card A is the prefered one and I use it mostly for automatic payments and subscriptions, cards B, C and D are used by other family members. Now it happened for the third time, that Paypal could not charge card A (reason does not matter), and automatically charges B, C or D for all subscriptions and automatic payments of that month... Maybe for some of you this does not sound like a problem, but for me it is very annoying now that I have to pay the bill of another card, which also is more expenssive and also explain the familymember why again their credit card got charged so much without them having any clue. Is there like a setting to end this? If it is not possible to charge card A, then Paypal should just leave the other cards alone and stop the payments. Or at least ask you if you want to pay with another card, or at very least inform you, that card A could not be charged and they automatically swapped... Or is the only solution to my problem to delete the other cards from my account? I also want to mention, that this is in my opinion a very bad tactics by Paypal for the customer to not have the power to decide from which source the money should be charged, and I mean in every single ocassion. I am using Paypal less and less, because every day there are new possibilities how to pay online (for example Samsung Pay/Apple Pay are growing or specific in Switzerland there is TWINT, et cetera), and for me the only reason for Paypal right now is the subscription management. But I am already trying to somehow swap every subscription to Google Play, there you have more power over your money than at Paypal.
