Hi all, I was presumably hacked (my password was stolen) and two transactions were made from my account that I didn't make. One was a direct transfer to someone of £40 and another a purchase of over £170. I immediacy changed my passwords, etc. I filed unauthorised transactions report. Paypal got back to me to say it doesn't consider them unauthorised. I called them - was put on hold twice and then disconnected. I wrote a formal complaint - same result. My transactions are not considered unauthorised. Paypal is covering a scammer! I contacted the shop; they said they will refund me. The refund is not showing yet, but I hope it is just taking time. I tried calling the shop again though, and their phone is disconnected today. I have no meaningful feedback from Paypal and no signs that they are actually trying to investigate the fraud and protect their customers. This is absolutely scandalous. They have a person's Paypal account who got transferred the money from my account and they won't do anything! I am disconnecting all my cards and accounts and will try to minimise the use of Paypal. I am considering legal action, although if the shop does refund me, it is probably not worth wasting my time over £40. I imagine this is exactly why the transfer was of £40.
