PayPal seems to invite endless scams - I was just scammed as well. PayPal is allowing this to happen and doesnt protect anyone, even though they claim to have protection they do not investigate anything at all. I was scammed and realized it right away when the phone number was to a disconnected number in Atlanta, the business was a dump house in Texas and the money went to some chinese letters in china. I showed all of this info to Paypal and they sided with the scammer. It took PayPal 2 weeks to make this "decision" as they were investigating. All the scammer did was wait till the hour before they were needing to be heard from and send a bogus UPS tracking number for another package in my town - wasnt even to my address. I called American Express just now and they credited my account within 1 hour for the money I was scammed out of. Warning - do not trust paypal to protect you - they lie. Make sure to use american express card or legit credit card to have real protection. Why paypal allows scammers to operate in their space is beyond me - they could help weed these guys out but don't. I have learned a lot through this experience and will be cancelling my paypal account - and to think at one time I had my checking account linked to this paypal nonsense! wow scary..
