I received an email from Paypal advising of a refund together with the identity of the refunder and my mastercard details. I have never owned a mastercard. I did make the purchase and was told I would be refunded (the item was out of stock) however, I did not use Paypal to make the purchase. I can not get a reply from Paypal. The refunder details are correct. The card linked details are not correct. The refund should never have been made to Paypal. I am concerned as to the fact that Paypal have 'refunded' money to an account without the correct information, let alone that there was no actual transaction to relate to the refund. How can this occur? Has my account now been compromised?
