Hi there,
As I've already said - I encounter *SEVERAL* issues with PayPal and I need help...
First of all - the signing in issue... When one tries to sign in to their PayPal account - they can see a few options available, such as: sign in using an email address or - phone number. I have THREE *VERIFIED* phone numbers added to my account and each of them is under a different mobile network carrier (Vodafone, Kyivstar, Lifecell)! But, when I try to sign in to my PP account using any of those numbers, I'm being shown the message saying "You haven’t confirmed your mobile yet. Use your email for now.". So, I can only proceed signing in using my email , where - as one of the steps - I still use one of those same numbers to get a security code, as I have 2-step verification set and enabled... Successfully, of course.
2nd issue seems to be again related to my phone number , as it shows up when I'm trying to receive a text message with a link to get the PayPal app ... So, I'm being provided with two options: either scan the QR code or get a text to download the new app - OK, my number is already filed in to the field automatically, so I'm going with the latter one. However, as soon as I press the "Send Me a Link" button, I'm being shown the error saying "Looks like something went wrong on our end. Let's try that again.". I didn't try the QR code though, but to tell you the truth - even if it'll work for me, I'm anyway not happy that I have a problem with the system not being able to send SMS to my phone !
3rd issue has something to do with my UAH (Ukrainian hryvnia) debit card - another time... Previously, I already had trouble linking it to my PP account, which I wrote about here: https://www.paypal-community.com/t5/My-Money-Archives/Need-to-chat-with-an-Authorized-PayPal-Customer-Support/td-p/2254848 - that time a PayPal representative called me and the problem was resolved. This time I've noticed that the currency for this card in PayPal is set as USD. So, I tried to change it back to UAH. At first it worked (seemingly), but as soon as I had refreshed the page - the currency went to USD again. This vicious circle repeats every time I try.
Lastly, the biggest issue so far - with a payment I made yesterday (using another bank card linked to my PP account - the actual USD one)... For some reason , PayPal has suspended this payment. It currently says "Regulations require us to take a closer look at some transactions. Your payment is temporarily pending while we review it.". The guys who I sent this payment to wrote me the following (I'm quoting):
"Subject: PayPal Payment Pending This ticket is to notify you that your payment to *** today, through PayPal, is currently pending. This is the message given to us by PayPal:
"This payment is pending while we review it."
In this case, they suspect that your payment could be fraudulent and they are reviewing it. We hold no opinion on the matter either way, your order passed our fraud filters and as far as we know today, you are welcome on our platform. However, our system will wait on PayPal to approve the payment before the order is fully processed. Apologies if this delays any of your plans, we just wanted to let you know what was happening.
Kind Regards,"
In fact, I've been in need of doing one more payment (to other guys), but now - I am no longer confident enough to do it through PayPal... Could a PayPal representative please take a closer look into all of the above issues (especially - the latter one!)? If necessary, they're most welcome to call me anytime (preferably, of course, not at the night time; I'm in Ukraine and my time zone is EEST now).
Regards, Sergii [removed]
P.S. BTW, several years ago, the official names transliteration rules were changed out here and since that time - officially, my name has started to be spelled properly not Sergii (as it was previously) but Serhii. Just FYI. This actually happens not the first time in my country... Even earlier it was Sergij, and this is without speaking of unofficial forms (widespreadly being used too): Serhiy, Sergiy, (etc. - at least 4 more variations)... Crazy thing .
