Hello, so on depop I was approached my someone and they asked me if they could buy some expensive shoes that I was selling. I said ok of course but they then asked me to send my PayPal email, I wondered why at first but then stupidly agreed. I assumed that they were just trying to let me avoid depop fees and as that meant that I’d get more money so I agreed. They then told me to NOT send to the address written on PayPal but to a different address which they gave me through depop. I delivered the parcel, provided tracking and then received an email from the person that sent me money through PayPal that I hadn’t sent the item to correct address. I was so confused because I had only done what they told me to do. I later then found out that this person who had supposedly bought my shoes had used the money from some else who though that they’d bought different shoes from them. This person who messaged me had actually scammed 2 people and gotten my shoes for free. The person who sent me the money then sent a claim saying that I sent the shoes to the wrong address when I had only done what they’d told me to do. Is there anyway that I can win here, because I’m the one who’s going to have to refund the person who sent me the money and I’m the one who has lost valuable shoes. I’ve got proof of everything and even have the address they told me to deliver too. Could depop possibly refund me as it I met the scammer on there? I hope everything I wrote made sense, please help.
