Hi all, I have a personal account, and accidentally sent a monetary retainer to the wrong account (I was given incomplete info, only account handle & not email address) - luckily, the account holder refunded my money upon my request. That account holder has a seller account, and when they returned my money, I was assessed a fee. Weirdly, there were all of these protections in place for the refund, that were not there for the original transaction. My question is: the money was sent Friends & Family (my account is set to this), but refunded as a Goods & Services transaction - hence Paypal's supposed justification for the fee (even though they know it was a mistake and know that no goods and services were exchanged)...how do I dispute this fee directly with Paypal? Why was this refund not automatically processed as the reverse of what was sent?
