Hi Community, PayPal asked me to send various documents for proof of identity purpose. All the documents were approved except my national ID. Paypal emailed me and said that the ID was blurred and I should send a clear copy. I scanned a clear copy, but sending it is a big challenge. The link that paypal gave me is inactive to allow sending of the clearer copy after uploading it. Faced with the challenge, I decided to send the ID through ‘Change of Name’ section. This is because on the ‘Resolution Centre’ of my account, there is no Go to Account Limitations feature. At some point, paypal wrote back and asked me why I sent the document through ‘Change of Name’ section. I narrated that the document was to be used for proof of identity and thought that they would close the case faster now that they’ve the ID. However, the case hasn’t been closed, the account is now limited, and I can’t access funds the clients have sent. Efforts to explain my issue through the message centre have born any fruits. For umpteenth time, I have told paypal to consider closing the case and allow me use the account. Nobody replies to my messages. Please, community members, assist me to understand what I should do to solve this issue. How long does paypal take to resolve a problem of this nature? Are they aware that specific accounts don’t have particular features like Go to Account Limitations? I’ll appreciate your positive feed and hope that soon, I may resolve this problem. Thanks. Member.
