I have been having endless trouble trying to get a refund for a $3400 package that never arrived. I originally tried to obtain a refund directly from the seller by pointing out that Paypal required a signature on transactions over $850 CAD, but they refused. This was frustrating but I was still not worried. I opened a claim with Paypal expecting the process to be straightforward. I even added extreme evidence (including dialogue from the local courier indicating they did not even remember delivering to my house) to make my case even stronger. However, my claim was still denied. Paypal even said the seller-provided valid proof of delivery! How can this be when no signature was given? The latest user agreement (June 9th, 2021) states signatures are still required for proof of delivery. Anyways, has anyone else had this problem? Should I just keep calling in? I cannot afford to lose this money. I was hoping this process would be straightforward, but it has honestly turned into a nightmare.
