I bought something using PayPal that never arrived. I've opened a dispute. Paypal says there's an open dispute, but bringing up the UI it says that the case is closed, and not found in my favor. I've contacted PayPal through the website "chat" (yeah, right) about 15-20 times through the "message us" link. Each time, the agent in chat says, "Hang on while I transfer you." NO ONE EVER ANSWERS THE TRANSFER. Last time I fell for that one, I sat there for over 4 hours. And calling the support phone number says, "Due to Corona virus, our phone numbers are closed." Meanwhile, I've trusted PayPal's security to purchase something that NEVER ARRIVED. It has now been 20 days, and still no product, no refund from PayPal, the company that (used to?) promise security. Meanwhile, I guess I'll have to do a chargeback from my bank because (drum roll, please), there's NO WAY I'm paying for products that didn't arrive. I may have been scammed by the seller, but that's the point of using something like PayPal for the last 18 years. But now I'm being scammed by PayPal.
