Good day Paypal team! This is not a complaint or dispute, but rather a question, and I would really appreciate it if you guys enlighten me. I have tried using Paypal, around 3 years ago when I was a Full Time Virtual Assistant, and I did not encounter any problem with receiving payment from my client. I think the On Hold Policy was not a thing three years ago, but I could be wrong. My online work back then did not pay much, so the moment I got hired for an office job, I resigned from my Virtual Assistant stint, and withdrew any money I had left in that Paypal account. I did not deactivate it, but I totally forgot about the logins, which is why I decided to make this new Paypal account. Due to the current Corona situation, I was able to land a project-based stint via a job board. Since I no longer had access to my first Paypal account, and I have a new bank card, I decided to make this account, which is verified with my current email address, since Paypal is the agreed mode of payment. I am paid weekly, and the process is that I track my week's work on my client's tracker, and he sends me that amount to my current Paypal address, so sending him an invoice was not part of the process. Upon checking my account the day after he has sent me my pay, I see that it is Pending or On Hold. Now, I read through your On Hold policies, and FAQ, and was bale to deduce that it was caused by the fact that my account was new (around a week that time). I did send my client an email via a Paypal feature to confirm that he has received "my week's work", but I do not think he has received the email. I and my client message each other every day, and I did explain my dilemma to him. He told me that he has already sent the amount, and is probably on hold because my account was new. You policies state that I may receive it 21 days later. It is now the end of the 2nd week working for my client, and I am expecting my next pay. I fear that it may be placed On Hold again. I currently need my (2 week's) pay since I am in a NO-Work-NO-Pay situation with my office job. My client's project has just ended, and this 2nd pay will most probably be the last pay. I am concerned that there may be a possibility that I do not receive my 2-week's pay, even if 21 days have passed, and I may no longer have a channel to contact my client by that time. I would like to know, during the next 21 days, if my Paypal account does not encounter an issue with the client (dispute, refund), would there still be a possibility that my Balance will still remain On Hold, even after 21 days? Would really appreciate whoever can help me. Our local community quarantine has extended another month, and I truly need my salary. My Paypal account is verified, and I have linked it to my bank. Hoping that you guys can enlighten me! Much appreciated!
