I've been trying every way to contact customer service. First I called, spent 20 minutes going through their automated phone machine only to be told they won't be taking calls. Then I messaged a customer service representative on PayPal. It took her 3 hours to send me an automated reply that she would get me an account specialist, but then nothing. 3 hours later and she hasn't replied as to when she would put me in touch with an account specialist. Then I took to twitter, DM'd their support and they sent me the same copy and paste reply. When I asked when I would hear from an account specialist they deleted their previous reply to my tweets so it wouldn't show up on their page. It's hour 7 of trying to find someone to care about my case. After a year of buying and selling through PayPal with no issues, being verified on PayPal, suddenly when I need money and a smooth transaction experience the most they limit my account. I answered all their questions, but they don't care their customer's rents are due or that they need to feed themselves and their families. Or that the money needed to ship their goods comes from the purchase. It's so frustrating to me, that this would happen during the worst moments our country has faced financially, medically, politically. I wouldn't be this desperate at any other time, but Paypal has failed their customers when they needed them the most. Just look at their twitter support page, this forum page, other forum pages at how many people they are letting down. After I get this resolved I can't see myself using PayPal again. I will also be filing a report with the Better Business Bureau, emailing my state representatives (who are taking reports of companies doing this to their customers very seriously) and messaging media contacts. I suggest you do so too, because PayPal won't care about our individual complaints but they will when it is reported in masse. Paypal already lost a class action suit because of these practices. This is the only way they are going to care.
