I tried to add a valid gmail Google email address but PayPal thinks it’s associated with another user. I quickly found from their FAQ’s that this is probably down to someone making a mistake. I checked and I definitely got the correct email address. I also checked that there wasn’t any previous request to confirm the new email address in its inbox. So how do I get PayPay to remove the address from the mistaken users account. I can obviously confirm it is my email address as would be normal when adding a new address. This seems really odd to me, why don’t PayPal purge any unconfirmed requests to use an unverified email address.
