Thank you, Jennifer.   I wish you were around 3 years ago as tech back then insisted nothing had changed on Paypal's end. IPN Still Not Working

Gosh it's been so long. I would say 3 years this month that your IPN system stopped sending data back to my website. Back then I had countless calls and emails with your tech support and no one could figure it out. It's obvious something changed on PAYPAL's end during that time that caused this problem. If you have some fresh blood on hand who might have better insight and can look back 3 years to see what changed at your end, I'd be willing to reopen this discussion.   Something in their String changed years back but they couldn't figure it out and insisted I needed to change something.   Here's a typical string sent back and apparently my database doesn't accept it. I've had the same issue since 2/16/2020 on my site which had been receiving IPN - and inserting that data into my DB -  for over 3 years without issues.   All I can say is nothing was changed on my end, yet tech keeps stating I need to change something due to the 500 error which is being returned. Makes no sense!   I have a .net gaming site and when a player upgrades their membership, this is when the issue occurs. I have seen this issue going back many years. I'm currently communicating with a Paypal tech, but wanted to see if anyone else has had this issue recently?   My .net site is membership based. When someone upgrades to premium, Paypal sends the IPN details back to my database BUT as of 2.16.20 this stopped!   I can't tell you how many months of diagnostics I've been trying. You are not alone. The issues started around 2/17/20   I had been receiving email support and on 3/9/20 Isaias from Global Technical Support replied with:   "We have had updates in the past month. Some of our certificates were decommissioned to meet with industry standards. Unfortunately this is not something we can take back as the old certificates were causing security issues."   My server is current and my server techs have not seen any issues on our end. IPN's are simply not sending back to the database. I now am manually upgrading the memberships on my site until this issue is resolved.   Paypal offers no help as far as even stating there was an update around that date. I have opened my 3rd ticket. 1st ticket was closed today and I hadn't had any correspondence in weeks. 2nd ticket never got into their system, although I have the email confirmation. I called again today stating both ticket #s and reopned a 3rd ticket/case.   ... View more

IPN not working in Live situation

The issue started 2/17/2020 - no IPN's reporting back to my database...   Tech finally emailed a few weeks later stating: 'We did have an update to our ssl certificates to meet with industry standards so this may have caused an issue. "   There is no explanation or any qualified tech to assist on this. IPN just stopped hitting my listener. There are no updates in their dev section stating they make some changes and now everyone is having issues. Our code is NOT the issue. My .NET site has been receiving IPN's for years prior to Paypal making this change.   For the time being I have to manually add any new paid paid memberships into my database which takes hours each week. Paypal IPN's no longer sending back to my Database

I have a membership based site with recurring monthly and annually rebills. No problems for 3+ years.   This issue just started around 2/27/2020. No coding has been changed on my end, but tech wrote back (after I called to begin the investigation) the following:   'We have had updates in the past month. Some of our certificates were decommissioned to meet with industry standards. Unfortunately this is not something we can take back as the old certificates were causing security issues."   I do not believe this is the sole issue. I have tried re-sending IPN requests with no success.   Has anyone else had this issue and resolved it? I'm using C# scripts, sending back to an .asp page.   Thank you in advance! ... View more
