The last few items I sold on eBay, I got my funds released right after I updated the tracking information. With this sale, that didn't happen, and I was in a really serious financial struggle. If my mother hadn't sent me $20, I wouldn't have been able to eat for the week, and an hour talking to PayPal support yielded nothing. I don't blame the rep for this, since it sounds like they didn't have the authority to really do anything, but it was unsettling and frustrating that there was no solution. Now, the item has been delivered, and PayPal is still not letting me have my money. I have a good record with my sales, all of them have been delivered in the past, and I have no complaints against me. I messaged PayPal's customer service again today to ask what's going on and got told the same thing as last time: "just wait." Which I took at face value, but I'm seeing people say on here that they've had success with contacting support and getting their funds released in the past. Do I need to go full Karen to get results? I work in customer service myself and hate the very idea of it, but I really need my funds. A medical emergency from last month basically ate an entire paycheck for me, and I can't go another week breaking down in my company's break room because I can't afford to feed myself. This whole experience has absolutely destroyed my opinion of eBay and PayPal, and frankly, it was already pretty low to begin with. I'm never selling on eBay again after this.
