Unfortunately I've been subject to a scam buyer. I sold 4 items to a buyer (each in the region of £100) and received payment by paypal (in hindsight I should have been suspicious as they paid for each item separately and they came from different accounts, I didn't really look closely at the time and just saw that i had received the money. Lesson learnt I will always check now.). A couple of weeks later I got chargebacks on 2 of the payments stating that the transactions were unauthorised, I made my case but ultimately the money was refunded and to top things off I got charged a £14 fee for the processing of each of the chargebacks. Now chargebacks have been raised on the other two payments. Seeing as it seems like these will likely be successful claims, should I just refund them myself to avoid having to payout another £28 in fees (or will I get charged these anyway)? I'm guessing that this guy has used stolen bank or card details to create paypal accounts, in which case I see no reason why these cases won't be decided not in my favour.
