Hi, I woke up yesterday morning at 8am to see 3 notifications on my phone saying that I'd authorised 3 separate payments to Blizzard Entertainment SAS. Now, I do play World of Warcraft, and of course this means I have a regular payment plan setup with them for my account. I looked at the time these 3 payments went out, roughly 2:30am... Instantly alarm bells are ringing, I was asleep. So I login to my Blizzard Account and check my transaction history, to find no matching transactions. I've contacted Blizzard Billing Support and asked what's going on, they replied with the following: "Thank you for contacting Blizzard about some recent Paypal charges. I'm Game Master Idrysarine and I'll be looking into this for you today. Looking here at the invoice numbers you provided, none of these are attached to your Blizzard account. These look to be for orders made by someone else. If you've recently allowed for a friend or family member to use your Paypal details for a purchase (for example, to buy WOW game time), please check in with them first to make sure they didn't charge you by mistake for any new purchases! If you haven't used your details to purchase something for someone known to you, this means that your payment method was hacked, not your Blizzard account. With PayPal, it means your PayPal account was hacked and the hacker used it to make payments online, not only or necessarily Blizzard products, but anything on internet. Please contact Paypal ASAP for further assistance in reversing these charges; The Paypal details have already been removed from our system so no further charges can occur." I definitely haven't given my PayPal account to any family or friends. So I submitted a case through the resolution center for the transactions in question, only for them to deny the claim in an hour or so. I contacted the PayPal support 2 times afterwards, first time they suggested I re-contact Blizzard and they will issue a refund... Blizzard said "Thanks for contacting us again, my name is Game Master Terezzezza and I have reviewed your tickets regarding these orders! I can understand your concerns regarding these payments unfortunately as my colleagues has already explained in the case of unauthorised payments done with PayPal we have are not able to refund these transaction as it can be done only as chargeback requested via Paypal Resolution Center. Thank you for understanding. I wish you will have a good day!" I went back to PayPal support for a second time, the messages sounded promising. They said they would re-open my case and appeal it. Less than 2 hours later, the case was closed and denied again - with no reason as to why. And now I'm getting very frustrated, as I know for sure that these transactions were not authorised by me. I'm now lost, and don't know what else to do, I feel like I'm going round in circles... Thanks
