I made a purchase of what I believed to be a sanding machine found on Pinterest. It was small, but it looked handy. The price was very low and I thought it would be a good Christmas present, I bought 5. The only picture I saw at that time was the grinder and the price. I opened the site and ordered them. 19.95 each
in a short period of time after I wanted to admire my purchase and see what else was available from the sight as I am a “tool enthusiast”. I poked around at the Pinterest node and discovered that the sander/grinder was represented with the price of it’s proprietary sand paper below it’s picture and the sand paper was represented with the machines price on another node afterwards. A bait and switch type scam. I contacted PayPal, and they processed a claim for me right away, accepted as I claimed.
The issue arises because I was not able to return the sandpaper they sent me on the schedule provided by PayPal because it was not delivered for quite some time after my discovery and my successful claim. The case was closed for delinquency and now that I have the delivery to return, I have no claim.
