Thanks sharpiemaker for the response it's very useful. I am in the same position. I think PayPal needs to take more responsibility with these Chinese/scam sellers and if there is a pattern of people opening a dispute about the same company... this should ring alarm bells. Subsequently they should then block these fraudulent companies. Maybe a report to the Ombudsman may force PayPal to take action to protect its users. Seriously considering a PayPal alternative or just to stop using them entirely. Prior to my regretful 'purchase' I used to always take the 'PayPal' approved stamp as a verification of safety towards a product - that you knew you were going to receive that item. In my case the tracking information was on a random website with millions of 'tracking numbers' and not actually recorded on the UK's site of the delivery company either. Not legit. So why would PayPal refuse my refund? Illogical. In fact after typing this out, I've decided to start removing PayPal from sites as I use them.
